Jason is a contemporary Seattle washington based artist producing original figurative and landscape fine art oil paintings. Originally from Santa Fe New Mexico, Jason now lives in Seattle Washington where he works in the visual arts field for a major software company.
Mr. Waskey is a realistic painter whose themes are mostly contemporary figurative art. His oil portraits have begun to gain some notoriety. He keeps a sketchbook that keeps his eye for realism strong. He sketches nearly everyday. His original paintings and figure drawings have received very positive reviews, and he is one of the few seattle artists who produce realistic figure paintings. He has shown in many galleries in both Seattle Washington and New Mexico. He would love to one day show some of his figurative arts in a gallery in Santa Fe. Until that day he continues to work in the seattle fine art scene, going about his day drawing and painting. His love of the figure (as it pertains to art!) grows everyday, and he continues to hone his abilities as a contemporary figurative artist.
